KALYAN CITIZENS’ EDUCATION SOCIETY |
Kalyan Citizens’ Education Society (KCES) was founded in the year 1971 by the effort of prominent citizens of Kalyan and Patronage of Late Shri. G D Birla.
His son Shri. B K Birla has been patronizing the KCES after his father and his yeomen services for the Trust are exceptionally remarkable.
KCES manages Birla College ,Kalyan and Birla School, Kalyan.
Birla College, affiliated to Mumbai University was established in 1972. This College with more than 8500 students and spread over 20 acres is Re-accredited by NAAC Award with ‘A’ Grade.
Birla School, Kalyan became the first CBSE Co-ed School at Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation Zone. This school has gained the reputation of being one of the best schools in Thane District, Maharashtra.

The school is co-educational institution and accommodates 960 students in all from JR.K.G. to Std. X . There are two divisions in each class with 40 students.
As affiliated to CBSE, the school follows NCERT syllabi from Std. I to Std. X. Marathi is the Third Language and is taught from Std.III to Std. VIII. The students of Std. X appear for AISSE being conducted by CBSE.
Apart from the prescribed NCERT syllabi, the school imparts activities such as Physical Education, Art & Craft, Music and Computer Science during the regular school timings.
There is an additional activity period of an hour for Primary and Secondary Classes separately after the regular classes. The students take part in Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance , Art & Craft, Music , Instrumental, Indoor Games and Outdoor Games. All the co-curricular activities are imparted by professionally qualified instructors.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT |
The school provides transport facilities to the students of Kalyan, Ambernath, Ulhasnagar and Bhiwandi. The transport fee is to be paid for the whole year at the beginning of the academic session. Transport fee is non-refundable. The school reserves the right to enhance the transport fees as and when there is escalation in diesel rates and other charges.

REGISTRATION AND AGE FOR ADMISSION |
The age limit for the admission to Junior K.G. is 3 year plus as on 30th June at the time of admission. Admission shall be on the basis of age, merit and availability of seats . The following documents should be produced at the time of admission-
- Original Birth Certificate
- School Leaving Certificate properly Counter Signed by Competent Authority of the concerned Education Department.
- A valid document for verification to prove the residential address given in the registration form.
- Original Community Certificate if the candidates belong to other than open category.
- Fitness Certificate from Registered Medical Practitioner.
- Blood Group Report.
- One Stamp Size Photo.
