Media education has responded to the changing needs of the society by upgrading its content. The Bachelors of Mass Media (B.M.M) curriculum is designed to provide an adequate theoretical and practical foundation for a career in Mass Media. Conceived to meet the mission, vision and mandate of being able to provide the aspiring journalist, electronic media, advertising and PR professional with the best integrated facilities for the education, skill development and subsequent mastery in their respective fields, we at Birla College provide the students with the combination of strategic and tactical knowledge of communication and also prepare them for leadership and managerial skills. Deliver a high quality curriculum within a top-notch learning environment. T he course encourage the bridging of theory and practice, as much through course work as through participation in faculty and independent project assignments. The BMM courses is designed to teach students to both, make and reflect, upon media and in the process, to acquire important skills in team work, leadership, problem solving, collaboration, brainstorming, communications, and project completion, which will prepare them for a broad range of academic and professional careers.
Eligibility :

  • A candidate for being, eligible for admission to the degree course in Mass Media shall have to pass 12th standard. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt. Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent/affiliated college /recognized institution conducting the course, shall have to register himself/herself with the University.
Duration of the Course :

It is a full time course having six semesters spread over three years. The course shall consist of 36 Theory papers and an internship of 4 weeks duration (SUMMER HOLIDAYS).
