Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
Scope & Objective :

BMS was introduced by University of Mumbai in 1999-2000 with following objectives:

  • To create additional avenue of self employment.
  • To benefit industry by providing them suitable trained persons.
  • To prepare students to exploit opportunities being newly created in the various profession.

With the growing demand for professionally qualified management executives, the course has been especially designed to create middle cadre management personnel. Therefore, we also started BMS Course in the academic year 1999-2000.

  • The College is committed to providing in-depth training using the latest equipments LCD, computers, practical experience, industrial visits and summer placements, wherever possible.
  • We have taken adequate measures to ensure that the course is effectively conducted and faculty is carefully selected from academic circles and industries.
  • We focus on education, training and development in various spheres such as marketing, finance, personnel and computers.
Eligibility :

  • A candidate shall have passed the H.S.C. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and should not secured less than 45% marks on the aggregate (40% for backward), at the first attempt.
  • Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent /affiliated college/recognized institution conducting the course, shall have to register himself/herself with the University.
Duration of the Course : It is a full-time course having six semesters spread over three years.

The course shall consist of 39 modules comprising 38 theory papers and 1 project.

Scheme of Examination
  :

The Scheme of Examination shall be divided in two parts.

  1. Internal Assessment: - 40% i.e. 40 marks.
  2. Semester End Examination: - 60% i.e. 60 marks.
Intake Capacity : 120 Students - Two batches each consist of not more than 60 students.
