“A Blend of IT, Commerce & Finance”
Scope & Objective :

In the present context of Globalization and Information and Communication Technology revolution, a new P.G. programme of M.Com. (E-Commerce) is launched by University of Mumbai to meet the growing corporate demand for students having sound knowledge in the fields of I.T., Commerce, Management, Finance, Economics etc. This course will also provide adequate professional knowledge and skills to the students to start their own business, with the objectives :

  • To prepare students to exploit opportunities, being newly created in the E-Commerce profession.
  • To provide adequate professional understanding about E-Commerce.
  • To give an adequate exposure to operational environment in the field of E-Commerce.
  • To inculcate training and practical in approach by using modern technology amongst the students in the field of E-Commerce.
Eligibility :

  • A Candidate should have passed B.Com. OR B.Com(Accounting and Finance) OR B.Com .(Banking and Insurance) OR BMS Or B.Sc.(I.T.) OR B.Sc (Computer Science) OR B.Sc.(Mathematics) OR B.Sc. (Statistics) OR B.M.M degree examinations of this University.
  • A Candidate should not have secured less than 50% marks at one and the same sitting (45% in case of reserved category) OR any other equivalent of other recognized University.
Duration of the Course : Two Years full time course spread over four semesters.
Semester Scheme :
  • Modules- 28 ( 26 Papers, Training Report & Project Report )
  • Each student should undergo summer training for 6-8 weeks at the end of second semester and shall be required to submit a Training Report and present the same in the form of class seminar, at the beginning of the third semester for evaluation, each carrying 50 marks.
  • Every student shall have an appropriate topic selected for doing Project Report at the beginning of the third semester and shall submit the same and face a viva voce at the end of fourth semester for evaluation, each carrying 50 marks.
