(a) Eligibility for admission to B.Sc. I.T.
1) Candidates clearing H.S.C. (Science steam) with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and securing not less than 45% (open category) or not less that 40% (for reserved category) in the aggregate at first attempt.
2) Candidates who have obtained Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Technology / Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering with 45% marks in aggregate for open category and 40% marks in aggregate for reserved category are eligible for admission to 1st Year B.Sc. I.T.
3)Candidates with post H.S.C. Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science / Computer Technology recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body will be eligible for direct admission to the 2nd Year of B.Sc.I.T. course. Admission will be granted on the basis of merit.
(b) Eligibility of admission to M.Sc.I.T.
Students from the following categories will be eligible for admission :
1) The candidate must have passed B.Sc. degree in Information Technology of the University of Mumbai or any recognized university with minimum 45 percent of marks.
2) B.Sc. in Computer Science/ Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) with minimum 45 percent marks.
3) B.E. degree in any branch with 45 percent marks
(c) Eligibility of admission to B.Sc. Computer Science
XIIth (H.S.C.) Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate at first attempt for open category candidates and not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt for reserved category candidates.
(d) Eligibility of admission to M.Sc. Computer Science
The candidate must have passed the B.Sc. (Three Year Integrated Course) degree examination of Mumbai University with or at least seven units (i.e. the minimum required for majoring a subject) in that subject which he wants to offer the M.Sc. Degree Course OR and examination of the another University recognized as equivalent thereto.
(e) Eligibility of admission to B.Com (Banking & Insurance)
1) A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Insurance) Degree Course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of reserved category) at one and the same sitting.
2) Every candidate admitted to the Degree Course in the Constituent / affiliated college/ recognized institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himself/ herself with the University.
(f) Eligibility of admission to B.Com (Accounting & Finance)
3) A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) Degree Course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of reserved category) at one and the same sitting.
4) Every candidate admitted to the Degree Course in the Constituent / affiliated college/ recognized institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himself/ herself with the University.
(g) Eligibility of admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology
Candidates who have passed B.Sc. Degree Examination of recognized university are eligible for the Entrance Examination. The candidates must have secured minimum 55% marks at the B.Sc. Examination. The qualifying examination will be B.Sc. in Zoology/ Botany/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Chemistry/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology of the University of Mumbai or any equivalent degree of the UGC recognized University / Institute.
(h) Eligibility of admission to M.Sc. Environment Science
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the M.Sc. Degree Course in Environmental Science must have passed B.Sc. degree examination with a minimum 45% of marks in aggregate in Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Geology / Geography / Nautical Science / Agriculture Science or B.Sc. Degree with any other subject with Biological Science as one of the subjects at F.Y. / S.Y. level or B.E. degree of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent.
(i) Eligibility of admission to B.M.S.
1) Candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree Course in Management Studies shall have passed XII Std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent at one and the same sitting or Diploma in any Engineering branch conducted by Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State with 2/3/4 years duration after passing the S.S.C. Examination or any examination recognized as equivalent and should have secured not less than 45% marks in case of students belonging to Open Category and not less than 40% marks in case of students belonging to Reserved Category.
2) Every eligible candidate has to pass a Common Entrance Examination to be conducted by the University for getting admission to this Degree Course.
3) Students who have appeared for H.S.C. Examination of Maharashtra Board / Diploma in any Engineering branch in March, 2005 or it’s equivalent are also eligible to appear for the Centralized Common Entrance Examination.
(j) Eligibility of admission to M.Com (E-Commerce)
Candidate shall have passed B.Com examination of this university or any other recognized University by U.G.C. and served less than 5% Marks in aggregate at first attempt. (45% in case of reserve category.)
(k) M.Sc. Environmental Science
1) Admission Criteria
Eligibility :- B.Sc. (in Zoology, Botony, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Geology, Agricultural, Biotechnology) with minimum 45% aggregate makrs.
2) M.Sc. – I = 4 papers (75 marks each – Theory )
(200 marks – Practicals)
M.Sc. – II = 4 papers (75 marks each – Theory )
(200 marks – Practicals)
1) Project report and presentation.
2) Training in industry.
3) Field Visit.
4) Seminars arrangement.(by students)
