- Indian economy is on the ascent. It is fast emerging as the economic super-power. While providing quality education, value education and better employment opportunity to the youth in our HEIs, we also have to ensure the comprehensive development of youth with greater potential.In the global market, there is no dearth of employment opportunities but they are on the hunt for quality providers. It is for this reason our HEIs should think differently and enforce quality enhancement initiatives with greater impetus. |

Birla College has introduced M.Sc. in Herbal Science, M. Sc. by Research and Ph.D. (Science)in Biotechnology and M.Com. (E-Commerce) from the current academic year. Several teachers have registered for Ph.D. /M.Phil. Many major and minor research projects have been sanctioned to our staff members. The college has also introduced several UGC-sponsored, Career Oriented 'Add on' courses that add value in potential students and lend them a cutting edge. The students should draw maximum advantage of these courses. The results this year have been extremely encouraging and much higher than the Board and University Results.Many students have figured in merit list. In co-curricular and extracurricular activities including N.C.C. and N.S.S. etc, our students are breaking new grounds. In sports activities our students have performed better this year. Teachers and parents mould the life of budding youngsters from a very early age and leavea lasting effect on their mind.To inculcate the right values, it is desirable that teachers and parents should show the moral path and become inspiring mentors of the Generation Next. We, the intellectuals, should try to become enduring and stable role models, worthy of emulation through our Spartan lifestyle and exemplary deeds. It should also be remembered that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body and so it is mandatory for today's youth to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Birla College always endeavors to create and provide a highly vibrant work-culture by appreciating the performers, by providing a platform to the students to showcase their innate talent and by promoting research culture on the campus. Teachers are constantly motivated to keep themselves updated and students inspired to excel in academics and other allied fields and leave their imprints on the sands of time. It is the need of the hour that all the concerned sections of society introspect and try to contribute towards strengthening the higher education system. The huge talent of our country should be unleashed, innovative ideas should be welcomed and the spirit of bold entrepreneurship should be boosted. We must aspire for an international brand image. We, the stakeholders in the system, have to ensure a pragmatic, flexible and realistic system that will enhance the development and image of our HEIs abroad.
